Your average tells you nothing about why
A 205 average says you bowled well. It does not say which ball carried on the fresh, which one you should have put down after game two, or what you did differently on the pair you struggled with.

On the lanes
Log the block, shot by shot
Start a competition for a league night, a tournament block or a practice session. Capture shot data frame by frame as you bowl — including up to three targets per shot — so the detail is there while it is still fresh.
Record the pattern and the lane condition with it. Later on you can see how you scored on that shape rather than guessing.
Log what happened on that specific pair, too — not just the game score. Moved to a new pair in a tournament? Log the change and keep your notes tied to that pair, so over time you build a real picture of how each individual lane plays for you, not just the pattern on paper.

Every ball, every spec, every chart
Keep your full arsenal in the app with make, model, weight, layout and surface on each piece. Add equipment by searching bowlingdatabase.com or by scanning it.
Then look at the charts. Performance per ball across patterns shows you what each piece really does, and layout tracking means you can pull up the numbers on a ball in the middle of a block.

The full Kegel and Brunswick pattern libraries are built in. Log a pattern by name and the numbers are already there — loads, ratios, forward and reverse totals, all of it, without typing a thing.
Bowling on something that isn’t in the library? At a tournament with a printed pattern sheet pinned to the wall, snap a photo of it. Spectre Stats reads the sheet and imports it straight into your pattern library.

The Spectre Stats companion for Apple Watch and Wear OS lets you score frame by frame, pick which ball you threw, and choose your lane and targets, all from your wrist.
It also tracks your heart rate shot by shot, so your performance history includes how your body was responding, not just what you scored.
